Upgrading Your Amateur Radio License to a General Class and HF
The General Class license is the second of three US Amateur Radio licenses which conveys extensive HF privileges. Once you have passed the written examination, the entire range of operating modes and the majority of the amateur spectrum below 30 MHz become available to you.
To upgrade to General Class, you must already hold a Technician Class license (or have recently passed the Technician license exam), and pass the 35-question General Class test.
There are a number of methods to study for the test and a combination of methods may work best for you.
Following are great study aids to help you get your General and Extra Class license.
