Electronic Logging Software for Special Events
At our meeting on April 6th, 2021, a presentation was presented to us by Brad Wick, WØCO on “N3FJP Logging Software” for special events.
Brad checked into our monthly club meeting on Zoom from Pitkin, Colorado. He is an Extra and has been in ham radio since his 13th birthday and is very skillful using logging software for special events.
Brad’s first field day was 1970 and he told us of the pains of logging contacts and what all the issues at hand were just to log a contact. But with electronic logging software, those pains are now computed on the program making the logging time next to nothing.
To down load a copy of N3FJP logging software, go to http://www.N3FJP.com and select general contact tab.
Brad put together a file to demonstrate the logging software and to help show you how to set up your computer to log your contacts for any special event you may be working.
The club wishes to thank Brad for his diligence to undertake and to present FHARC these files for our use. And in the future, we hope Brad will join us again for future discussions on logging software.
