Join us for Field Day activities at Bern’s Barn on June 27th. Bern will open the barn at 10 a.m. for setup and we will begin operating at 1:00 p.m. The club will provide lunch and Bern is planning to cook burgers for dinner around 5 p.m.
The 2026 ARRL Field Day, the premier amateur radio communications event, takes place on the weekend of June 27–28, 2026. The 27-hour event begins at 18:00 UTC on Saturday and runs through 20:59 UTC on Sunday. Here are the Field Day rules.
The annual event is part picnic, camp-out, and a practice session for emergency communication when standard infrastructure fails. During Field Day, over 30,000 “hams” set up temporary stations in public parks, schools, and remote locations across the US and Canada.
We will be operating as a Class D station using the club callsign: KB0VAC. We will likely be operating FT8 as well as SSB and might have other activities including practicing WinLink.
